The unprecedented, idolized, romantic modal of the Pontiac wide cars, is the rare 1961 Catalina in a semi restored, excellent running, condition. This car is really one of a kind, in the fact it's a working reliable car, that was restored in a very fine way and kept up, till the owner became ill and some years the rubber insolation around the windows and trunk gaskets in some places around the doors and trunk, began wearing a way. But other than that, this is a perfect car to fully restore, and nothing needs to be done to the engine at all! Or the undercarriage, or Transmission. It doesn't leak a bit of oil, not one drop and this includes the transmission. Everything works accept the radio and cigarette lighter, but a new looking lighter, with lead wire comes with the car, to replace the one that is in the car. The radio may not even be hooked up, . The transmission works effortlessly. The radio needs to be checked being it's seems to be with no power to it. Chances are if it had power to it, the stock speakers in the car will come to life. The car has been kept in a acclimatized care garage and chances are, if its hooked up to power the speakers and radio will come to life. That said, just a few small things, but when you start the engine, and warm it up and ride around town, with the feel it represents, it gets all the attention you would want. Only thing that comes to my mind in the evening is how romantic the 1961 era was. The opulent production of Pontiac leaves a feeling of rare value. Wait on the summers and ride around, listening to great tunes of the early sixties. Everything on this car is so well done, with nothing but perfection thrown in on all of its mechanical aspects. The whole car says something without words to any onlooker. It's all in a very romantic feel, when you experience driving it in the warm summer nights. What a full blown dream! The shadows on the paint and town lights sends further color all over the luster of the fine lacquer paint, giving it all the depth you see in a wonder light show. Your only left to say and comment. What a fine Dream Car. No, I don't need to sell this car, but it would make me happy, if some one that can further it's rich luxury originality and further it's touch up.. It's a very beautiful car. That said, the car is only worth what someone will pay for it. But to experience once in life time, well here it is, all in full Glory. Nothing really needs to be done, but to drive it and have the time of your life at car shows and on to high school reunions! Lucky is the one to have it secured in their garage and ready to take it to the next car show, just to show it off. It's a real crowd pleasure just the way it is. New looking engine with Factory set upTri Power, New coker tires! All, with less than 3k miles on them! 93% Restored! Everything touched up and adjusted brilliantly, so very right! Myself, I would like to see it go to someone who can give it the care and little restoration it needs. Right now here is a car that starts and drives like a new car. Equipped with the racing Factory Tri Pack kit, making it a comfortable driving experience. This vehicle, that can easily roar to life in a pinch. when on the throttle, makes it a must consider, if not entices one to buy it outright. All accessories work as they did when the car was first bought. power steering, transmission, and Engine, heater and radiator, Emergency Brake, and Air inlet vents. 1961 Pontiac is a one owner car, with 73,000 original miles and is a terrific barn find out of the Midwest, This car never saw a day without being garaged, and well taken care of under factory specs and adjustments. The one sole owner slowly brought it from a factory two barrel to a four barrel carburetor, then on to a factory Tri-pack, All set up by the folks around Pontiac Dealer racers of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Truly a magnificent auto and one of a kind. "Only the Lonely" should be inscribed on it near the front fenders. A true "Blast from the Past" in a rich Sea-crest Green Teal color.
