For sale is a California 1963 Buick Riviera, the first model year for this beautifully designed car. It is a mid-century design classic. It would be right at home in an episode of “Mad Men!”
It was 1968 when my wife's parents purchased this Buick Riviera in California and it has been part of the family since then. It has had its place in the carport all these years. It was driven little by my mother-in-law and since her passing in 2003 it has been used even less.
We have replaced the fuel lines, brake system, exhaust and tires. We have also kept it registered and take it out occasionally to keep it in good running order.
It has the 401 “Nailhead” V-8 engine, original leather rear seats and matching reupholstered front seats in vinyl. The original glass washer fluid bottle is still in its place under the hood. It runs and drives well. With a bit of loving effort it could soon be returned to showroom like condition.
We hope to find a good home for our family’s classic!
