For sale, at NO reserve, I am offering this beautifully restored and maintained, show quality 1962 Studebaker Champ. It was appraised as a number 2+ truck, with an value of $22.5K after the mechanical rebuild. I purchased this truck 2+ years ago from the son of the long time owner. His father purchased the truck out of Oklahoma in the late 80's, after it had been completely restored by the original owner. The son states this truck was an AACA junior national winner in the late 80's (I cannot verify), after which it was put in dry storage and rarely driven. After his father's death, the truck was moved to Alabama and stored in the son's garage. Upon my purchase in 2014, the engine was completely rebuilt, at a cost of over $5000. All drive train components were gone through at this time to ensure proper function and required only cleaning and fluids. The paint is still in excellent condition, with only a few minor chips, most of which have been touched up. There are no dents, scrapes or rust. This truck has excellent power and torque and runs very smooth. The 3-speed on the column, with overdrive, all functions as they should. I have driven the truck less than 100 miles since the engine rebuild (I do have receipts). The odometer and radio are not functioning, but all other gauges are working. The truck comes with an all weather $250 cover, although it has been garaged throughout its life. This classic Studebaker Champ is a very fine and rare example, in near show condition, but ready for your daily or weekend enjoyment.
