GM obtained the rights from Magna Steyr to produce a limited-edition series and started Advanced Automotive Technologies. ATT starts by using this new C5 Corvette with a LS1 ENGINE, AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, A/C, POWER STEERING, POWER DISC BRAKES, POWER WINDOWS, HEADS UP DISPLAY, along with all the standard features of a new C5. AAT then adds new completefront and rear body panels, hood, deck-lid, headlights, taillights, bumpers and trim plus a custom red/white interior, blending together the two styles for a car that pays tribute to its heritage. Named the 1953 Commemorative Editions, these cars offer all of the modern features, technology, and power of the C5.
