Description |
---|
1987 true SS monte carlo. It doesn't even have 1000 miles since the restoration. Basic run down of the car:
383 roller motor with chrome dress up kit
700r4 built with shift kit
stock 10 bolt non posi 373 rear end
new weather stripping
engine bay painted and underneath undercoated
huge aluminum radiator
holley double pumper carb
nice bullet hole wheels with new tires ( 295s out back )
new bluetooth aux usb radio
interior is all new and previous owner said it cost him 5K
New rear wheel cylinders and shoes
Cons: A/C is currently not working. All other A/C parts are new besides the original compressor that's stamped 1987. The system is full of freon and holds fine but the old compressor won't kick on. $2-300 problem.
Also the back carb float for the 4 barrel need to be replaced. Runs fine normally driving but will flood the carb if you try to stab it. You can still feel the cars power squeezing on it. Simple cheap problem that I haven't fixed because I just don't drive/want the car anymore.
Overall the car drives and feels like a new car when you are behind the wheel. Front end is tight, brakes are great, and suspension rides and takes bumps better than my dads 60k mile Grand National. Car is showing 80k miles and I believe that is original. Body is very straight but the cowl hood fits like any fiberglass hood. Pictures speak for themselves but the car really is that nice in person. I really like the car but I miss my Grand National and want to get another one. I see stock SS running for 10-12k with similar mileage with way less work than this one has had done to it so no lowballs! As for trades, let me know what you have but cash is king. Please leave a voicemail if you call and I don't answer but text is best. Thanks
