Description

1956 F100 Custom Cab Project For Sale

This is an Arizona truck brought to Michigan 23 years ago. Disassembled and stored in a dry garage. Everything from the cab forward is included. 6 ½ foot box was trashed but complete new boxes are available for about $1000. This truck features some new parts especially the entire NOS front sheet metal including new NOS right and left outer fenders, inner fenders, gravel shields, and front valence. Also new is tinted glass all around There is a re-chromed grill in excellent condition. Hood is in very good condition. Doors have been blasted and patch panel on passenger door is cut in. All four cab corners have been patched and in good shape. All the body hardware, hinges, braces, window mechanisms, etc, are included. Rear fenders, tailgate and running boards are original and need some minor work. Original speedo, steering assembly, heater box, switches included. There is a 351 Cleveland motor, with Offenhauser manifold and Holley 4 barrel carb included. This engine was always indoors but not run for nearly 25 years. 3 speed manual transmission. Original leaf spring suspension all around. Unsure of rear axle ratio but appears original. This is a relatively inexpensive and easy restore project as body work will be minimal and the truck is already torn down. Parts are readily available from several vendors. Vehicle has a clean Michigan title. You’ll need a trailer to pick it up near Grand Rapids, MI.

Notes on the NOS front clip: I bought the truck in 1993. A year later I heard of a guy in WestMichigan who had bought the entire front clip from the Grand Rapids Ford dealer to redo his truck but he sold his truck and stored the pieces in his barn.I remember bringing them down out of his rafters and opening up thewrappings on his lawn was like discoveringan ancient artifact! Looking at the tag attached to the front valence I see August "70," or perhaps its the 09675...or 1975?...that he bought the sheet metal. I saved the tags/stickers that were on the fenders too and attachinga photo of them. Needless to say I had to pay a lot for these in 1994 as the only option back then was fiberglass. Also updating, nameplate says the diff is 3.96 ratio if the rear axle is original?
