I have a 1968 C10 that just can't seam to find the time for. There is countless hours put into this and $6,000 + in parts years ago. Most of the work done is the body. Here is the rundown
- Bed is in perfect shape and is currently primed. This bed is new to the truck and was completely sandblasted and primed before on the truck
- New roofs are grafted together to chop exactly 3''. It was done in a way that stock windshield (-3'') could be used.
-Doors were stripped and are free of rust. POR15 poured in the inside to prevent future rust
-Rockers, inside rockers, doglegs are all new.
-Rusted frame members under cab replaced
-New front fenders
-Engine compartment has a ton of work and looks awesome. Inner fenders replaced and major firewall work done to remove rust.
-tailgate and possible a hood are the only things needed to bring to the paint shop.
-Gaps around the doors are near perfect, minimal body work needed on entire truck
This is a great truck with minimal to no rust since everything has been replaced. It has satin a garagefor a few years so it is dusty with a few surfacerust spots.I just put on breaks and lines so that I could drive it in and out of the garage. It does start and runs fine after it warms up but a tune up is desperately needed. I did replace the starter, fuel pump, battery, and a couple other odds and ends.If you are taking this to completion I would imagine you would pull or swap the current V8 anyway.
