1964 Chevrolet Chevy C20, C10 V8 4spd
I have for sale, at NO RESERVE, a 1964 Chevy C-20. I normally deal with older Chevy's, but picked this up in a package deal along with some older ones.
This was used as a farm truck in north central Kansas. It was purchased new in Minneapolis Kansas - not Minnesota. It came factory equipped with the V-8 and 4 speed it still has, although previous owner wasn't sure weather it is a 283 or 327. It is a 2bbl carb. This truck had sat for a few years, but it fired up with ease. As I said, I usually deal with older trucks, so I'm used to the 235's 261's etc., so I did find myself having quite a bit of fun leaving black marks up and down the street in front of my shop! It obviously runs pretty good. This truck does have rust issues. I'm not that familiar with these, but its the same rust I see on nearly all of them. Front fenders, door sills, under hood around grill, etc. Floorboards are actually pretty solid, except for one spot along driver side kick panel. It appears this truck was originally turquoise, and was later painted brown. If you're into old vehicles, this would be a great first vehicle/ father son project. It runs and drives, but needs enough work to teach your kid the basics. It would also be a good fixer upper in general, or even a farm truck. I have had to clean the fuel filter a couple of times, but the tank isn't too bad. The brakes need to be properly bled and checked over. The lights do work. Speedo works but fuel gauge doesn't. Although it runs prey well, I would just plan on a good basic tune up - points, plugs, etc., just because of time it has sat without being started. The wood in the bed is rotted, but does have a good steel frame to work with to make a nice flat bed. It's not a dump bed. The truck does need a battery, but I have one to use for loading, or bring one and I'll put it in for you, or I will put a new one in at my cost (about 75.00) Overall, just a good running, affordable truck. V8+4speed = fun, just basic math! My name is Cort and you can call or text me at 620-786-5172. Truck is in Great Bend, KS. I'm easy to work with on storage as long as paid for in a timely manner. I have 100% positive feedback, and would rather you ask a question first, than bid on something you are unsure of. Thank you and good luck.
