03 Ford F-150 Extended Cab 4X4 Heritage Edition
This auction is for a 2003 Ford F-150. I pride myself on being an honest seller so I'll start with what's wrong with the truck. I'm selling this truck for a friend so he can free up some driveway space. I went by to check out the truck because he started it after not driving it since February and there was a loud noise coming from the engine. I checked the oil and found some small metal glistening on the dipstick. I drained the oil to inspect it and found some more metal flake. We put fresh oil back in the engine and started it for 15 seconds and the sound did not go away. He was going to donate the truck but the interior is in such good shape, I figured I would try and sell it online first. The truck is pretty rusted on the underside of the truck, but there is no surface rust on the outside panels, which I found kind of strange. There are a few dents on the hood and 1 on the right fender.
Now for some pros. The battery was replaced with a brand new battery today and will be included. This truck has a very nice interior with no seat tears. The power features on the truck work and the 4X4 was working when it was parked in February. The transmission shifts into gear and the rear end seems to be ok. All of the calipers were replaced last year and the tires seem to be in fairly good shape. There is a set of new brake hoses that will be given with the truck. They were purchased but we're not needed. The cap seems to be in decent shape and the bed is in good shape. The truck does start up but will need to get towed by the auction winner to prevent additional damage. If you have any questions or would like to see the truck, send me a message and I'll try to set up a time and answer any questions that I can. This is a No Reserve auction and will sell to the highest bidder. Thanks for checking out the auction.
