1996 BMW 8-series 840Ci luxury sport coupe

Excellent condition, low mileage, three owner, well maintained example of this premier luxury sport cruiser. Stored in climate controlled garage and never driven in rain or snow in the 5 years I've owned it. The car is rust free, always professionally serviced and just had a recent suspension tune-up and new spark plugs installed less than 500 miles ago. Ice cold refreshed ac, factory radio with cd player in trunk and complete original tool kit in lid also. The original factory phone is disconnected but included with sale. Everything works except the alarm has been turned off by the prior owner to alleviate battery drain (a common problem with this model BMW) and key fob buttons don't work, not sure why. Possibly due to the disabling of the alarm before I owned it. I never investigated repairing or replacing the fobs or re-enabling the alarm. The car locks securely simply enough by using the key or interior power lock buttons.
The car has a built in battery tender that is used regularly, especially when parked for prolonged periods, which has been every winter since I've owned it. Interior is pretty much perfect with headliner only starting to give in a few spots (another typical problem with the 8-series given their age.) Trunk and engine compartment are clean and almost new looking. Rims, tires and brakes in good shape too. Paint is excellent for its age but does have a few minor, touched-up chips, scratches and blemishes from over 20 years of use. None are really visible from 10 feet away and there is no body work, dents or rust. This BMW has been well cared for and maintained its entire life, as its overall condition will attest. Local pick up is available but any and all shipping arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer.
