It has a 5/6 speed tranny. 5 speeds when you do not need it. 6 speed when cold or heavy towing. When it shifts between 5 to 6 at start up. It makes a sliding clang noise (normal). This is Fords strongest pickup tranny made by Allison. The tow command is great. This tranny has a retarder built into it. The tow command will apply the retarder & trailer brakes when needed. No need to touch the trucks brakes (save them). The tow command will anti-lock the trailer brakes if needed. I can ship this myself for a fee. To any where in the lower 48 states. Canada & Mexico I can not ship to. I have put a little over 6,000 miles on it in 18 months. I blew out the EGR cooler (my lack of knowledge let the turbo get into the red zone & held it there). THIS IS A NON SMOKER TRUCK. I could fix the EGR cooler. But I'll leave that up to the next owner. there are 3 ways to fix it. Just to fix it $1,200. Semi bullet proof $1,500. Bullet proof for life $1,650 (depending on your shops labor charge). Never use the delete. The EGR cooler cools the turbo. (from 280 degrees down to 200 degrees).
