The exterior is a dark grey with tinted windows. The back window has the optional roll-up shade. the the rear side window has the optional roll up shades as well. The power moon/sun roof is a great option on this car as well. The Interior is also a dark grey. featuring a two-tone dash with wood accents and top-grade materials. Two adults can easily fit in the backseat. and there is a good amount of leg room (I am 6’4”) for the front passenger and drivers seats. The interior package also includes 10-way power memory seats and dual-zone climate controls. The premium stereo has pro logic surround sound with harmon kardon speakers. I have had this car almost the last two years. It handles great. and the ride is very smooth and responsive as a Mercedes should be. The engine has great power; it is a M272 3. 5L V6. The specifications say it makes approximately 260HP at 6000 RPM. The car also has a 7 Speed automatic transmission. The transmission shifts very smoothly. and does not show any signs of jerky shifts. or stalling shifts. In addition to features like stability control (the SAS air suspension system) and head/torso protecting side airbags. This year model Mercedes-Benz E-Class boasts electronic braking. This system provides a more precise interface between the brakes and other active safety systems. Stopping distances are convincingly short. but the brakes can't match the progressive feel of conventional setups. In government crash tests. the E-Class earned four stars (out of five) for frontal impacts and a perfect five stars for side impacts. I would suggest doing another transmission fluid change in the next 5-10k miles (since you cannot drain the torque converter. dropping the pan will only yield about a half change of fluid). and I would also suggesting changing the spark plugs within the next 5k miles. as that service should be done around now. Also. the new owner should plan on performing an oil change in the next 1-2k miles. While the car was just in for service at Fletcher Jones in Newport Beach. and the mechanics diagnosed two codes stored on the computer. but no check engine light or other warning lights are currently illuminated on the dash. One of the codes is P0522. which means the intake manifold tumble flaps are in the wrong position. in which upon inspection you can see that the front linkage is broken. I have been informed by Mercedes that this intake manifold will soon be part of a recall. so MB will pay for the repairs once they authorize the dealers to do so. Basically. there are flaps in the intake manifold that create turbulence before air enters the combustion chamber. The linkage is plastic. so over time it breaks. I purchased a metal linkage repair kit and new gaskets on eBay for $150. so you could repair the manifold yourself (takes about 4 hours of labor) to eliminate the code or just wait until the intake is eligible for a full replacement from Mercedes. I am including these repair parts with the sale. The second code is P0272 for the Cam Adjuster magnets on the passenger side. I purchased two of these magnets for $70 to replace the ones on the passenger side of the engine. They need to be replaced at a service location that has Star Diagnostics. as the timing adaptations need to be re-set when the magnet are replaced. I am including these parts with the sale also.
