Description |

This is a converted TR7 with a rebuilt Rover V-8 which is the engine in the TR8. The conversion has 2000 miles. The changes include an Edelbrock 500 carburetor, Mallory distributor, electronic ignition and electric radiator cooling fan.
All age related components: steering, suspension, and exhaust have been repaired or replaced. Tires, battery and alternator are new. Paint was renewed in recent years and the soft top is like new.
With the conversion TR8 exterior badges were applied, however while the car drives and handles like a factory TR8 it can not be titled as such.
** One might compare the eight cylinder Triumph to the far more expensive ($50K+) Sunbeam Tiger. Both do 0 to 60 in about eight seconds. Both are standing quarter mile in 16.3, however the Triumph top speed is a bit better...and it handles asa true sports car.
For more information email through eBay or call 713 464 6717 in Houston.
Please note that this is a re-listing because the high bidder just wanted access to my PayPal account. This is a well-known scam, so seller or buyer beware.
I am reducing the starting price and offering with no reserve.
