Up for sale is this beautifully restored 1949 Willys CJ3A Jeep in Normandy blue. Every part was repaired, rebuilt or replaced. New steel body with spray on bed liner underneath. Frame and all chassis parts were blasted, coated with POR15 and topped with a satin black chassis paint. Engine is the 4cyl. L-Head, bored 040 over and SuperSonic High Compression Head, 2BBL Webber carb, custom intake and 2in. exhaust. Jeep has a 12V electrrical system with a one wire alternator and electronic ignition. Transmission is the stock t90 3spd (rebuilt), transfer case is a later CJ3B Dana18, with a 29T Drive Gear. Front axle is the stock Dana 25 with DISC brakes and locking hubs. Rear axle is a later CJ3B Dana44 with11in. Drum brakes, as well as a dual chamber master cylinder.. All brake components are readily available at any auto parts supplier (no fancy adapter kits involved). A one piece tie rod is utilized for better handling on pavement. All new leaf springs, shackles, bushings, and shocks. Tires are 700X16 NDT on stock rims, with stainless trim rings. I tried to keep the Jeep as original in appearance as possible, meaning it does not have (seat belts, heater, top, blinkers, spare tire, or overdrive). All these items can be easily added at a later time if so desired. The Jeep is stock in appearance with some modern upgrades for a more practical daily driver.
