Hi!Thanks for looking!I'm selling this '79 Checker Marathon for my step dad. who can no longer drive. He bought the car. brand new. in 1979. and has been the only owner ever since. This was a family car. never a taxi. It's been well taken care of. with regular maintenance for its entire life. It starts. runs. and drives great. It just passed Arizona emissions. has a current registration. and a clean. notarized title. The paint is exactly what you'd expect of a vehicle from 1979; it's a little faded. has some blemishes. a few rust spots. etc. The interior is about a 6 out of 10. The headliner is in good shape. The carpet is worn in the driver's well. The front bench seat upholstery on the driver's back is torn. The front driver's side door is missing the inside grab bar - not the handle. just the bar you would normally pull on to close the door. All windows and locks work. All doors open and close easily and latch perfectly. The rear jump seats are in great shape. The rear bench seat is perfect. All glass is in good shape. All gauges work. The original Motorola AM Radio works. The AC is very cold. If you're looking for a great piece of American Automobile History. this is it!I will happily show the vehicle to anyone interested on Saturday or Sunday. 21 or 22 March. I'm selling this vehicle as is. where is. If you are the lucky winner. you are responsible for picking it up in Tucson. AZ. or arranging pickup and shipping.
