Great Commuting Car!! 28-30mpg highway/ 25 cityThis car has been great to me. Bought it from my car mechanic. I did some research on the car before I did so. For the mileage. (126. 00 when I bought it). common issues on the online forums are the water pump and timing belt. So. I bought the car and had my mechanic replace those parts right away for peace of mind. I also had him do a full tune-up. I have all the receipts in the glove box to prove that the work was done. I have not had any issues since I bought it a little less than two years ago. I just got a new car so I need to sell this one. I have been commuting every day to work since I've had it. 26 miles one way. The gas mileage has been fantastic. With the lower gas prices it costs about $20 to fill-up and that would get me through the whole week. Pluses:1) Battery is good. It started every time over this cold Winter2) I have commuted with it every day. for the time I have had it. and never had an issue. 3) Two new tires on the front. The rear tires still have tread4) Heat works5) The interior is clean. 6) You cannot kill these engines. High mileage does not matter. It is the exact same car as the Toyota Corolla. Geo was a division of Toyota7) There is a spare tire in the trunk and jackMinuses:1) The paint is certainly not perfect. The paint is a lil rough by the trunk. The clear coat is chipping on the hood. There are scratches on the bumpers. 2) The radio does not work. It was working up until a month ago. You can get a cheap head unit installed for $50 that will work fine. 3) It leaks oil. I have to put a quart of oil in after every other gas fill up. The fix is most likely not worth putting the money in4) Window washer fluid pump does not work. 5) The interior ceiling material is sagging6) The check engine light is on. my mechanic checked the codes and said it is emissions related. Most likely. the EGV valve7) There is a cigarrette burn on the driver and passenger seat. This is a full disclosure of issues. To my knowledge. there are no other issues. The car is being sold 'As-Is' and the buyer is responsible for pick-up.
