"1960 King Midget--MODEL III"This King Midget is titled as a 1960 but. I have been told by someone that is knowledgeable about King Midgets. that it is probably a 1959 model because of the VIN number! I have a clear Indiana title in my name!I bought this King Midget. last year! The previous owner put a Briggs & Stratton 16 H. P. VANGUARD V-Twin engine in the King Midget. Apparently. this is a popular motor to put in a King Midget. from everything that I have read when doing some research about King Midgets! It now has a NEW Comet Clutch system! It also has a NEW gas tank! The previous owner had removed all of the old wiring. with the intention to totally rewire it but. never got it done! After. I got the King Midget. I bought a NEW universal wiring harness and fuse block and completely rewired everything! Every piece of the wiring is NEW! I installed a NEW light switch and wiper switch! I put a little LED light in the dash. above the speedometer to illuminate it. I also put a small red indicator light below the speedometer. that is connected to the oil pressure switch on the engine. It will come on. if the engine looses oil pressure or is low on oil. Every bulb in the car has been replaced. EVERY PART OF THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM (headlights. high & low beam. parking lights. brake lights. turn signals. emergency flashers. wiper. horn. etc!) WORK PERFECTLY!!I also installed a NEW choke cable in the dash! The original choke cable was located in the panel below the seat. Also. the original dash panel has been replaced with a 1/8" inch thick aluminum panel! (See pictures!)This body on this King Midget is SOLID and in GOOD condition overall but. it is not perfect! There are minor dents here and there but. nothing major! At some point in the past. a new floor pan was welded in! Also. the paint looks better in the pictures. than it actually is! It was like this when I bought it! I think it must have been painted yellow years ago and someone has tried to touch it up. at some point! The seat is still the original one! (See picture!)The tires on the King Midget are good. The brakes are working. It has a good battery! Of course. it is a 12 volt system! As you can tell from the pictures. I have the convertible top and side curtains but. they seem to be older. I also have an old Kohler engine that looks like one of the original engines that were used by Midget Motors! I also have what looks to be an original gas tank and some other miscellaneous parts. (See pictures!) I was told by the previous owner. that did the engine swap. that the Kohler engine was in the King Midget and running. when he bought it!FINALLY. THIS IS A GOOD. SOLID KING MIDGET AND WITH A LITTLE MORE TLC. IT CAN BE A GREAT CAR!!IF INTERESTED AND HAVE QUESTIONS. FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME. THROUGH eBay!!
