Double click on the arrow below to go to full screen. 1949 Ford Business Coupe Stormy The Legendary Bo Huff is offering up one his personal favorites in this eBay listing. If you have ever dreamed of owning an original Bo Huff design. here is your opportunity! Done in the old style tradition of customizers from the 1940s and the 1950s. This is a METAL car. This car is one of Bo Huff’s great works done in 2003 and was striped by his son. Junior. The pinstriping on the car won Best Striping at the Salina. Kansas KKOA. Pinstriping done by Junior Huff. Mileage is less then a 1. 00 miles since built in 2003. The hood and the trunk have round corners and the car is painted in acrylic lacquer in one of Bo’s favorite colors of Pearl Maroon. (There are a few chips here and there). This car has a 1980s Lincoln 460 engine and a Lincoln C4 transmission with a four-barrel carburetor. The interior is pearl white tuck and roll. shifter in the center console. The car has dummy spotlights. The headlights and the taillights are frenched in the old style tradition. The grille is made up of 1951 Olds grille parts. front bumper a 1951 Oldsmobile that has been narrowed to fit the Ford. 1949 Mercury grille surround and the side trim has been modified from a 1957 Plymouth. The car handles exceptionally well and because it has a 1991 Mustang front end from the larger Mustangs that use the MacPherson strut setup. Just check out the interior. It is absolutely unbelievable with all the roll and tucking and center console and shift in the floor. The plastic control knobs on the dash topped off by plenty of pinstriping. Yes. this car could easily be mistaken as a historic custom from the early 1950s but the truth is that Bo Huff. the greatest master of old school customizing has just made it look that way. Bo Huff is probably the most famous current customizer who for personal reasons is selling one of his most favorite customized cars ever. When Bo did this car he did not do it for a customer he did it for his museum and planned to keep it forever. Yes. there is nothing that lends itself more to old style customizing then the basic 1949 Ford business coupe. Bo was quoted. as saying that for pure simplicity in old school customizing this is one of his favorite works of art.
