Description

This truck is in pretty rough shape but pretty rare/unique. I have heard that Studebaker did make some pickups like this and that some of them actually had Detroit diesels. I can not verify this because this truck has no engine or transmission in it. I have heard people say that this was home made and heard others say that it was factory. The truck needs extensive work but also has some goodies that I know can be hard to find. First off with the bad. The truck has no engine or transmission. the truck needs new floor panels. the truck needs new upholstery. the truck needs new paint. The truck comes with and these are the goodies. The truck has all 4 hubcaps. the truck has the original Studebaker radio in it with all the knobs and appears to be in good shape. the truck also has a center console that I think is original. the truck has a original air conditioning unit. The truck also has almost all the lights. trim pieces. moldings. mirrors. and all appear to be in great shape. The emblems that say "Champ" are gone and 1 "Camper special" emblem is gone. The truck also has a rear bumper that slides out 3'-4'. I do not know what this is about but it has pins and the rear bumper slides out. I do not know if this has something to do with the camper package or not. I got this truck in on some trading and had considered fixing it just because it is pretty unique but I am not much of a Studebaker person so it is ready for new ownership. In fact the truck is still sitting in the exact same spot from when we unloaded it off the trailer as I have not touched it other than to take some pictures of it. I was told when I got this truck that it still has the original power antenna. I do not know if this is true or if it works.
