They were very well known for some exclusive and well respected cars. The company in its final form closed the doors for good in 2004. Their line of popular carswere… The DUKE – based on a late 30’s Jaguar SS100. The Marlene (7/8 scale Mercedes SSK). The Baron (4 seat version of the Marlene). And the Sebring. and Sebring MX advertised here. This company was regarded as a premiere kit manufacturer with a reputation for superior quality and authenticity. The cost to producesuch a high quality car was what led to their demise. The market was flooded by kit car builders and you could just plain and simple… but another kit for less. The Sebring MX is essentially a Healey 3000 on steroids. and squarely targeted the Cobra kits with tremendous success and following. Theymade the Austin Healey 3000 kit car from 1979 until approximately 2004. This car has a beautiful story of love and devotion between a married couple celebrating life together and the hobby of building kit cars. Bought brand new in 2002 as a wedding anniversary present. Then assembled with great care. and with a very high degree of performance in mind!This car has several trophies that bear witness to its appeal and quality. This is also in fact. a ONE OWNER CAR! The Dyno Report (part of all the originaldocumentation on the car). reports 437hp @ 5300 rpm. and 468lb ft. lbs. tq. @ 4100 rpm! It has a 750 Holly Carb. Edelbrock Performance Intake. Canfield Angle Plug Aluminum Heads. Aluminum Valve Covers. Comp Cam. Roller Rockers. MSD Ignition. Steel Crank and Rods. 10:5 compression … and it is balanced! Managing the feel to the road is a Ford Mustang II front suspension. The MX model could also be order with the Heavy Duty Suspension Pkg. providing a much better ride via front and rear sway bars. Eagle Alloys fitted with 215/65/15 BF Goodrich TA’s in the front. and 245/60/15 TA’s on the rear give great traction. A Ford 8. 8 locking differential with 3:73 gear ratio is out back. connected to a very nice feeling GM 700R4 Automatic Transmission. This thing is built for speed. and from experience driving all 2700 approx. lbs. of it – DOES THE BUSINESS!! Finished in White Gel Coat. it is spectacularly white and not painted. All of the trim on the car is in beautiful condition and bright and shiny. Very nice attention to detail on the interior includes Tan Leather with British Racing Green piping. The car does also have a tan canvass top that has never been put on the car. We had to try it on. and found that it is a very close fit. and will need some modification to fit properly. Deffinately worth keeping though! Other interior enhancements on this car include a Leather Wrapped Sport Steering Wheel with tilt. Autometer Guages for Fuel. Water. Oiland Volts with a Tachometer and Speedometer. An AM/FM Stereo with CD Changer provides the tunes. The dash is finished in real Wood Trim. And yes… it has Air Conditioning and a Heater. Power Windows. and Black Premium Carpet throughout. You can drive this car anywhere. and with only 1255 miles. is just starting to get broken in. The car is very comfortable at any speed on the street and extremely fast. Extremely good handling might even lend a future owner the idea of some track time. Beautiful to look at. and sounds fabulous! You need to do absolutely nothing to this car to start enjoying it immediately. Easy fix!Both sides of the top are the right length. Just need to put a finishing piece on the bottom with the right snaps in place!The top can very easily be modified to fit the car. and it would be a waste to not do that.
