1949 Triumph Roadster 2000

I'm selling my rare 1949 Triumph Roadster 2000. With only 2000 ever built in 1948-1949. his car is a true survivor. Aluminum body and tubular chassis equipped with a 2088cc Vanguard motor. ransmission and rear axle. I am the third owner of this beauty and did a lot of work on it to have it drive like a dream. This is a matching numbers car. ever modified. Chassis number:1106 A little bit about its history. I bought it from the second owner who had it since 1973. The car was always a california car. I have all the records for the car nicely organized in 6 folders!Original manual nicely preserved as well as old registration forms. riginal tools. loor jack and spare. The body: The car is solid. o dings on the body. The black paint shines nice and looks great. Black is the original color of the car as well. The car was always garaged. All the trim present. ome of the chrome is dull but its original. The car has all 5 of its original hubcaps. Have brand new beauty rings from the 70's. ever installed. The convertible top is in really good shape with one 1. 5'' tear by the rear glass. It was changed years ago. ut it was never really used. There's no rust on the car. ever been in any kind of accident. The interior: Tan interior looks very clean and neat. Reupholstered seats in quality tan leather. eautiful door cards and carpeting. Totally original and untouched wood work on dash and doors. Leather wrapped steering wheel invites you for a drive. Mechanicals: The engine fires right up. oesn't smoke. Still has the original carburetor and air cleaner. Transmission shifts very smooth through the gears. Brakes are excellent. With all the repairs done we focused on using original and correct parts for the car. This required lots of knowledge and patience to track down the parts. The complete wiring harness was changed in the car. Custom ordered from England with the correct factory color coded cloth wrapping. Let me just state that the harness was a work of art! Now ALL the electrical works on the car. elieve it or not. All the gauges work and they're accurate. lock works. ash illumination works. orn works. ights work. rafficators work on both sides. eater works. indshield wipers work! The car has a factory option known as the passing light. When activated one of the headlights. n this case the left side. as a mechanism that tilts the reflector inside signaling the car in front of you that you want to make a pass. And of course this works as well. The wiring loom in the steering column was replaced as well. In addition to the electrical wiring a brand new voltage regulator was installed. The original generator and starter motor were rebuilt. A new battery was installed. The original carburetor and distributor were rebuilt to factory specs. New fuel pump(correct mechanical) and fuel lines were installed. Brake system was completely overhauled. his was probably one of the hardest tasks. New brake lines were installed. The brake master cylinder was replaced by a rebuilt original one from England. Brake shoes were religned. Two new front brake cylinders were sourced from another Triumph afficiando locally. The rear brake cylinders were re sleeved. Overall this is a very well kept and original TRA 2000. Im confident to drive it anywhere. Its extremely reliable and well sorted. Drop the top turn the ignition key and push the push start button and it fires right up. You can put the kids in the back foldout seats. Its a blast driving it around. show stopper at any vintage car gathering. I like to take it on longer trips or just to the coffee shop. Cruises nicely on the highway at 65 mph. nd it does well in traffic too. Doesn't run hot even when its 90 degrees hot. I'm open for pre purchase inspections. here are no surprises.
