WHITE DOVE'S ESTORE "Not by Might. Nor by Power. but by My Spirit declares the LORD" 2002 Maserati SpyderAesthetics I'm not totally sure where to start in this. First the mileage. it's just over 27. 00 miles. You will notice this is not a normal 02' Spyder. It's had tons of custom work done to it. The paint is the same base coat PPG color with a PPG midnight Pearl over the top. All the trim work is done in PPG Black with the same midnight Pearl to make it look like it came from the factory this way. The car was completely taken apart to custom paint it. Doors. trunk. convertible lid. etc. This was not see in the cracks a different color paint job. It was done correctly. The inside console is painted in the same PPG black with the Pearl to match it. As well the head light inserts are painted the same color black with halos tastefully wired in when they were disassembled. The front and rear bumpers are GranSport bumpers painted in the same PPG base coat as the car but with a variant shade lighter to make them stick out. A brand new Gran Sport chrome grill was fitted along with brand new rear grills. The Gran Sport 19" rims were also re-done in a PPG Bright Metallic Silver. It has brand new Michelin Pilot Sports fitted. The car was originally a Florida car. I am the second owner. As such the owner had the convertible top completely re-done before I purchased it. When I received the car the leather seats were showing wear. Therefore all of the seats. console. and dash was re-leathered in Ferrari Crema (the original color the car came in). Needless to say it was expensive. I can honestly say it's the best looking Spyder I have seen for the year. or color. I didn't add the Gran Sport side skirts because as I learned they are a pain to continue to step over. Mechanics Again I don't know where to start. The car has a brand new clutch fitted at 26726 miles. This included a Hill Engineering throw-out bearing. brand new pilot bearing. F1 sensor. and the flywheel was resurfaced and checked for run-out. The Flywheel. and Clutch were dynamically balanced at a local race shop before it was fitted. I wanted to be sure there wasn't any drive line vibrations. F1 system. The entire power unit was replaced at the time of the clutch job (26726 miles) with a low mileage Maserati Quattroporte power unit. This included the valve body. solenoid valves. actuator. accumulator. engagement/selection potentiometers. and even the gear box rpm sensor. The entire F1 system has been completely flushed with Pentosin 11S. I have all the data any mechanic would need for the F1 system on this car. I have 0. 00 cc/min both with the clutch solenoid on and off for this car. If you know anything about leakage data you know that's a perfect leakage rate. I also have an Microsoft Excel sheet mapping out the Gear Change calculation data showing the min. /max selection engagement points and how the Actuator is performing in this car. The rear suspension was fitted new rear tie rods. All of the rear ball joints were serviced and new ball joint dust covers fitted. A four wheel alignment was done when they were fitted less than a year ago. Oil changes are done probably sooner than they should be. The last one was done when the clutch was finished with a little over 2000 miles on it. Always full Synthetic oil with Maserati specific filters. Other Important IssuesSo I realize that I'm surely going to forget some things. So I will put here what I feel needs to be mentioned. The sound system was upgraded to Boston Acoustic with a Kenwood amp hid in the console. It does have a factory equipped GPS and CD player. The heater core was replaced about 4-5 months ago. The pre-cats were gutted and the ECU was flashed by Eurocharged out of Houston. Texas. It was the best way to be sure we never had an issue with failed pre-cats and taking out the motor or the rest of the exhaust system. The VIN data check information is above. The accident was from when the first owner was sitting in traffic making a turn some one bumped him from behind and pushed them forward into another car. Any damage on a Maserati is moderate but it was a very low speed accident. and as you'll see no unibody damage or anything of the sort. The original bumpers aren't even on the car any longer so I'm not even sure what if anything it did to them. 3 Owners. this is technically incorrect. at least I believe it to be so. The older woman I bought it from in Florida told me what her husband originally paid for the car in all it's upgrades. However. he passed away. and I think she had to change the title over into her name in order to sell the vehicle. She attempted to drive it for a short time but then realized the car at her age wasn't what she wanted. Scan ToolI do own my own scan tool that will access the gear box and enhanced drive train for Maserati/Ferrari. Anything you want me to look up when you get here in person we can. That's clutch wear. PIS. etc. etc. you don't have to take my word for it. ClosingIn. closing everyone wants to know why you are selling something. I bought a GranSport Coupe all black last week. I really don't want to pay the insurance for both vehicles. It's a bit sad when you invest that amount of money and time into something but it's part of life. It's very possible I will sell the Gran Sport and purchase a F360 or 430. It's just part of life.
