1957 Mobilette vintage electric car made here in Long Beach California in the late 50s I believe the company either changed name or some members opened a new company making similar electric vehicles called the "Shopper" This electric car has a very simple mechanism that should not be that complicated to get it running again. The body is very solid with no rust detected anywhere although there are several holes drilled here and there done in the past made for unknown reasons. Steel frame with wood panels. all the remaining wood is actually in good solid shape and no rotted. It comes with its original "convertible" top which is pretty rare. The convertible top frame has just one spot where it needs to be tac welded It is a simple bolt on mechanism or the top can just be taken off. Commands are to the left with forward-Reverse along with the throttle and brake handle all 3 tires hold air and it can me easily moved A dear friend of mine has one very similar (No convertible top) completely restored and they look pretty striking once done. I do not have a title for it or any paperwork. I purchased from a huge lumber store/company that had it for a very long time I can provide a bill of sale. If outside California please check with a transportation company for charges although this will fit into any medium to large truck bed I can coordinate time and day with shipping company or I can assist in loading it into any truck. I have a forklift in my warehouse This Mobilette is inside my warehouse and can be stored for an additional 6 weeks once purchased and paid for Should the new owner need any additional storage time These micro car Mobilettes or Shoppers are extremely hard to come by for sale and the chain driven engine and pretty standard and simple to restore/rebuild I will try to update info if an. for any questions I can be contacted via ebay email or thru my cell phone 323 578 1565 PLEASE NOTE A deposit is expect within 24 from the end of the auction and the full remaining balanced must be paid within 7 days from the end of the auction.
