The cars featured a box perimeter frame. with the floor pan attached at the bottom so that passengers actually stepped down to enter. As a result. its center of gravity was low and handling was excellent. This lovely Hudson Commodore Convertible was restored about 10 years ago. Handsomely painted in Matador Maroon. it has a black Haartz cloth top and maroon leatherette upholstery. The mileage showing is just over 54. 00 and is believed correct. It has a power top. power windows. a windshield visor. a Hudson radio and heater. an electric clock. and a Hudson tissue dispenser. Hudson built fewer than 600 Commodore Eight convertible broughams for 1949. This car is a lovely example of that rare model. possessed of Hudson's excellent handling and the time-honored eight-cylinder engine.
