Up for auction is my 1971 Plymouth Duster. This is a very clean very original very stock Duster. The only reason I'm selling this car is because I have two cars and only enough room for one. This is by far the better car but if I keep it I know I'll end up turning it into a bracket car. It has a 318 2 barrel left completely stock. Previous owner said that the heads have been rebuilt with hardened seats added for unleaded fuel. Engine runs perfectly. 904 automatic trans works exactly as it should. Has 7 1/4 rear diff open with 276 gear. Everything works as it should in this car. speedometer. gauges. heater. lights all work fine. Car has power steering with manual drum brakes. Interior looks to be mostly original in very good shape. Has small cracks in dash pad and a couple small tears in head liner. Seats look to have been recovered at one point. The under carriage of this car is awesome. Not a heavily undercoated car. only the wheel wells are undercoated. All original floors and trunk pan in great shape with only light coating of surface rust. I've owned a lot of these cars in the past 30 years and this one is one of the cleanest underneath. Very nice car to leave as it is and enjoy it or would make a great 340 clone car. The bottom of the rockers. quarters. and fenders from what I can tell. have never had any rust repair. This is a really nice A body that can be enjoyed for years to come. The car was originally gold but it's been repainted white. Paint is okay but has small nicks and scratches. Looks great for a driver. Chrome is in good shape. Rear bumper just starting to show a little pitting but still looks decent.
