PRICE REDUCED! NOTE: THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION. I AM ONLY SELLING THE CAR BECAUSE I AM MOVING AND WON’T HAVE ROOM FOR IT. SO MAKE AN OFFER BUT PLEASE DON’T LOW BALL. THANKS All original – 31. 00 miles. runs. This is a true barn find that with a new battery. bypassing the fuel tank. and a little finesse we drove it out of the barn it had been sitting in. I got the car with the plans to make a mild rat rod because the flathead 6 motors have a reputation for reliability and maintenance parts are still readily available and affordable online and in local part stores. I did a little more work to be able take it on some short drives around the block and sub division. but the master cylinder went out. A new master cylinder is cheap. but I haven’t replaced it because I knew I might be parting with the car once I relocate for work. Exterior/Interior condition of vehicle is pretty typical for a true barn find. It has an awesome. natural patina for a 65 year old car from a barn. Typical surface rust and patina all around. rust spots on the lower rockers and a few spots in the floor (affordable replacement panels available on ebay and rockauto. com). Has some sheet metal dents and dings throughout typical. Missing: lower rocker molding LH side. front fender spear LH side. air cleaner (Previously located parts in various junkyards. Needs new master cylinder ($65 on rockauto. com). Interior has some rips. tears. and stains. Small chip on LH side windshield panel (could be fixed with resin kit). The fuel tank might need to be cleaned. it has a small bypass tank for now for short trips. Weather strip around windows is showing deterioration. I was planning to put a matte finish clear coat over the patina to preserve its history. I was going to pull off some of the trim/moldings. lower it 2” with leaf spring blocks ($60 online) and cut coils in front ($38 pair. 90-91 Aerostar Van springs from O’Reilly actually fit the front end). I was going to put white stripe Firestone 215/70/15 Radials on the car ($70/per tire online). This car would be a great starter project car. It has the potential for a great low buck rat rod or hot rod. The drivetrain combo was rated for about 22mpg in 1950. so it could serve as a somewhat economical cruiser if that is your cup of tea. I hate to part with the car. but I would be happy if it went to a home that has similar plans for my intentions with the car.
