Crevier Classic Cars is pleased to offer this 200 plymouth prowler with just 2 owners from new and in like new condition.
The design of the Prowler was said to have been inspired after Chrysler engineers were given free rein to create whatever they wanted in a "hot rod" or "sportster" type vehicle. One of the most striking design features of the Prowler are the open,Indyracer style front wheels. The Prowler featured apowertrainfromChrysler's LH-cars, 3.5LChrysler SOHC V6 engine24v producing 253hp at 6400 rpm version of the engine. It iscoupled to a 4-speedAutostickautomatic transmission. The transmission was located at the rear of the vehicle and joined to the engine by a torque tube that rotated at engine speed, n arrangement similar to that used by theC5 Corvette,Porsche 944andAlfa Romeo 75, nd helped to facilitate a desirable 50-50 front-rear weight distribution. Chrysler's High Output 3.5 had a horsepower rating similar to (or higher than) the company's Magnum V8s of that era.TheProwler's light weight translated into impressive off-the-line acceleration. The car prominently featuredaluminumconstruction, n many cases adhesively bonded, hiefly in thechassis. The body was produced inShadyside, hio, nd the car was assembled by hand at the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant (CAAP) inDetroit, ichigan. This is a two owner example with the second owner purchasing the car just five months after the orginal owner. It has been extremely well cared for and comes with records from new. With just over 17,000 careful miles from new, he car presents in nearly new condition. It is an outstanding example. Please contact us with any questions at 714-426-0238 or mark@crevierclassiccars.com
