Description

OK Mopar fans - look what came to town today! A bone-stock original '51 Plymouth Cambridge sedan with 27K original miles! Low-mileage survivor car that's just amazing! The car is 100% original right down to the paint. Has 218 C. I. Flathead six engine with 3 on the tree transmission. It starts right up. very responsive. idles smooth and runs cool! The motor is very clean and dry. Very tidy looking under the hood. Shifts ever so smooth. with no clutch slippage or chattering. Carries 40# oil pressure at the warm idle. I can't imagine this car ran any better when new. Hence the 27K original miles. New battery. As I stated the paint is original with small blister on the passengers front fender and small amount of cracking on the drivers door. (see pics) This car goes down the road straight as a pin. zero shimmying or wandering. When I go over a rough set of railroad tracks on our road there are no rattles or shakes at all. The car is so"tight" it's simply unreal! Exhaust is nice & quiet. The interior is also 100% original from the factory and has had seat covers on since new. Front seat cover on the seat bottom was tattered from age & use so I took it off. (see pics) All the rest is like new under the seat covers. Original rubber floor mats in great shape. Headliner is near perfect. The dash in unmolested and also near mint condition. as are the gauges. I just love the woodgrain look. (see pics) The door panels are perfect in back and the front panels have a small rip from the door handles but not that bad. I myself would leave everything the way it is(only 100% original once) All glass is great and windows all work excellent! The door and trunk locks all work and have extra keys in the glove box. The underside of this car is in phenominal shape and still can see the original paint with minimal amount of suface rust. Floor pans. trunk floor. rockers and body perches are all intact. This car was 1st sold in Dodge City. Kansas. than on to Flagstaff. AZ. and on to Merrill. WI. I am the 4th owner. The 3rd owner drove it home from AZ. to WI in 1981. This car has never ever seen the salt! Lights. gauges. horn. heater blower fan and wipers all work. It has radio but needs a new tube to play. Dome light works too. Master cylinder was just rebuilt and brakes work excellent. It has radial tires with 10K miles on them. The original bill of sale from 1951 and all paperwork from owner to owner comes with the car. I was cleaning under the front seat and found the original build sheet - simply amazing! Crayon No. you see on the firewall matches the build sheet no. The trunk is very clean and tidy with extra belts and radiator hose. The original jack with tire change instructions. The tag is still attached to it. Extra points and condenser are in the glove box. The chrome on the car is all in nice shape. I can't stress enought the shape of the underside of this car. Absolutely no rust issues anywhere to be found. I am 100% confident the new owner is going to love this car! It looks cool with the sun visor. Tried my best to cover everything. however if any questions please email me early and often to share phone numbers to discuss this car. The reserve is under $7K so it is very fair and affordable. Also the car does have blinkers & hazard flashers that work. It does have a broken marker lens on the front pass. side that needs to be replaced. The left rear tailight lens is cracked but might be OK. Overall I don't see how this car could be in better original shape! Again. simply amazing!!! Bid with confidence. A $500. 00 non-refundable downpayment to Paypal is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction. The balance is due within 7 days of the end of the auction as cash in person or wired to our bank account. The wiring fees on the buyers end is their responsibility.
