1965 Plymouth Barracuda Z2 option Rare Find
Hi everyone Thanks for checking out my auction. Up for sale is a rare find 1965 Plymouth Z2 option Barracuda with only 78K original miles on the odometer. Despite being stored for some time in a garage, this is still a very nice 1965 vehicle. With the exception of some basic body work done and a temporary paint job to help preserve this classic, the 65 Barracuda is solid. To make the car flawless you will need to do some additional body work and paint. The underside is in decent shape with none of the under carriage rust through problems that cars this year tend to suffer, overall especially for the year of this car it is in great shape. The Barracuda still has the following all original equipment; headliner that is in great shape, dash, seats (Driver Seat was repaired), one of the few with the Z2 floor console shifter option from the factory and new carpet. The glass in this amazing car is in excellent shape and yes all of the interior windows do roll down and up with no issues. Once again I will stress, to help keep the car exterior from rusting, some basic body work and paint was applied. I would recommend some detailed body work and a paint job of your choosing if you want to make this a flawless machine. All of the exterior headlights, turn signals, and brake lights are in great shape and still work flawlessly. The interior dash lights and radio still work and in excellent condition. The original 273 LA Engine and 904 auto transmission still resides under the hood and you can see from the pictures we applied a fresh coat of Mopar Hemi Orange and applied some black engine paint to help prevent rusting. We installed new spark plugs, new plug wires, new distributor cap, new rotor, a new battery and after priming the oil pump/engine the 273 fired right up. The original 273 engine does run ok, it sounds smooth with no audible knocks or ticking etc… however I would recommend a carburetor rebuild or replacement. The 904 transmission is in great shape and the brakes have firm excellent pressure and seem to work great as well so this is a turn key car however I would recommend, ( especially if you plan to tag and drive right away) having the brakes checked/serviced just for preventative maintenance do to the length of time the vehicle has been stored. Everything overall about this car is mostly original, I have been looking on the internet and have not seen a cleaner 1965 Plymouth Barracuda for the price we are asking for this awesome un-tampered with find. So here is a great chance to own a rare Z2 factory option 1965 Barracuda for far less than you will find else where. Please do take the time to check out my feed back and bid with confidence. Thank you, AL
