(IDEAL for a female driver who likes to know what’s what. like me!) She has a Cast Iron Cylinder Block with an Aluminum Cylinder Head making it approximately 38 lbs. lighter than a cast iron head. This allows the car to more evenly distribute heat and function at a higher compression ratio. The exhaust system includes Chrome-plated stems for the intake and exhaust valves. the exhaust valve seats are made of a wear-resistant Cobalt-Iron Alloy. and the exhaust valve guides are made of a heat-treated Iron Alloy. She has Hydraulic mini-lash adjusters to reduce engine noise. You’ll also find the high-strength cast iron camshaft; supported by five bearings for additional stability and strength along the shaft; stage 2-barrel carburetor with an electric choke and an electric-control feedback system. The electronic engine control unit or microcomputer will individually adjust spark timing and air/fuel ratio to meet ever-changing driving conditions. About my girl… This car. lovingly named Rosemary or "The Gram Mobile" was the epitome of Economic Luxury. Style. and Comfort in her day (The 80's). She has plenty of sass and sporty handling but also provides you with a safe means to transport your family! This vehicle was the first Chrysler model to come equipped with a Driver’s Side airbag. She has manual windows. power door locks and beautiful wood trim running throughout the dashboard! It's comfortable and safe for both new and experienced drivers. She does have a small dent (Mainly to the Trim) on the front-passenger side door. and a small chip from the driver-side taillight cover (highlighted in a photo above). nbsp;but is otherwise structurally sound. The interior headliner is intact. but has loosened and needs to have the tension reset. The windshield and all windows are intact. and she has a new battery. belts. and new radiator. I don’t drive her regularly but keep her in tune and haven’t noticed any mechanical or electrical issues. There are no leaks and no rust. All 5 wheels (including the full size spare) have matching rims. and tires are in good condition with 50% or more of tread remaining. The car has a clean title history (comes with the pink slip). no check engine light. recently passed smog and will pass a safety and smog inspection for you. Actually. as a seller I have to smog it before I can sell it to you. so there will be no question. The 1986 Plymouth Reliant is a small. fuel-efficient. reliable vehicle with responsive steering. and low mileage. The car has great speed and pick up. It handles winding roads quite well for its size and is such a smooth ride that bumps are no longer an issue. It shifts well and when it idles it purrs (literally). I have found it is very difficult to find this particular car in such good condition. If you shop around. you know what I mean. This car is not a parts car. nor is it a lemon. It starts right away and with continued love. it will drive like a dream. As you can tell. I love the car. I took care of it with the intention of keeping it for my own. and for many years to come. The pictures do not do it justice (and all of the photos are of the actual car). Warning: you will fall in love with it when you see it! If I could. I would keep her forever for sentimental reasons (she belonged to my grandmother). but financially I just can’t. Though the paint has lost a bit of her shine. there is no damage to the clear-coat. The Pin Stripe Decal is faded from age. It has both. heating and air conditioning. a new exhaust system. and everything on the car is original and in good working condition. There are no mechanical or functional issues on the car and has not had a check engine light since I inherited her. Out of my three vehicles it gets the best mileage! It has less than 52. 00 Original Miles and has been in our family since it left the showroom floor! (My grandmother lived in a small town only two miles long. so she just kept her parked and rode the trolley!) She growls like any respectable female when you try and start her up in the morning. but she runs like a dream. I have had her registered as Non-Op for the last two years as I couldn’t afford to insure three vehicles when I can only drive one at a time. but I have maintained her smog and she’s certified for two years.
