It is meant to drive. I purchased this Fiero specifically because this one is non-power steering. Seller's Description and Comments This 1987 Fiero GT is in amazing condition. It has much more power than your average Fiero. The body is flawless and the original paint is good for its age (you can see in the pictures how reflective the paint still is as it is reflecting the trees in the back ground and even the white lines from the parking lot). The motor runs and sounds great (as perfect as this car looks. the engine is the gem of the car). I am the type of person who is skeptic of any after market work done to any car I buy. especially of an engine that has been "up-graded. " The engine was upgraded to make it better than your average Fiero and done right. I took it in to Gaynor's Automotive (A premium Shop here in Vancouver) and they actually opened it up and did a complete inpsection and said whoever did this engine did it right. and the car sounds like it! It is a 2800 V6 bored 30-over with forged pistons with a 5 speed manual transmission. It has roller rocker arms. a crane cam shaft. ported-heads. and a Holley Fuel Injection System (vent in photos). Even with this awesome engine upgrade. this car almost passed our strict emissions here in Clark County (just barely was over so I installed a brand new cat converter so it passed with flying colors through WA DEQ which cost me $700. I looked for the perfect Fiero for almost 2 years and found this one in Detroit in 2010. The only time this car has ever been driven in the rain was when I drove it home from Detroit. and it drove great! It is currently licensed in WA State. It has a K&N Air Filter and custom dual-quad exhaust. The odometer reads 131. 36 but the previous owner added the engine upgrades about 43. 00 miles ago. This car has always been garage kept. The clutch was replaced about 3. 00 miles ago. The car has 4 wheel disc brakes. It has Fiero-GT floor mats and a huge sun roof shown in the pictures. This Fiero is garaged (and covered) and has been meticulously cared for. Put this Fiero right next to one with less than 60. 00 miles and I would be very surprised that car is as nice as this one. I have seen very few that even compare to this one. And it is nice having that extra power that the others simply do not have. I hate selling this car but I just have way too many vehicles and need the room. I have over $12. 00 invested (total) into this car. The only thing you need to do is slip the driver's seat plastic recline latch into place. I broke it recently but bought a new pair for each side (only $20) eventhough the passenger side is perfect (they came in pairs) but have not slipped it on yet. It is a little tight and was going to have my mechanic do it because I did not want to screw it up. Other than that and re-hooking the disc player. everything on this car works perfectly. You would be hard pressed to find ANY Fiero as nice as this one. If you drove one of these gowing up. you know how fun they are. and if you have not yet. you are truly missing out.
