CLEAN 2001 Sunfire SE Coupe 2-Door -RELIABLE! Low mileage & GREAT fuel economy

For sale we have a clean. well-maintained. gas saving and reliable 2001 Pontiac Sunfire 2-Door Coupe SE. With only 140. 00 miles and absolutely no history of ever breaking down. this may be one of the most reliable cars you will own. She starts right up within the first cranks EVERY TIME; negative degree temperature. scalding heat or at extreme angles. you can count on this Sunfire to get the party started. Manual windows and manual locks. these features are actually SAFER than modern day power locks! You don't wan't high-tech thieves strolling by and using their hacking electronics to unlock your signal-controlled vehicle! Not to mention. what if the electronics fail on a modern car? Windows get stuck. doors won't open. Next thing you know your car is an overpriced casket. Roll the windows down with your hand. unlock it with your fingers and survive your disaster scenario in this Sunfire. Power steering. power-assisted breaks. powered sunroof?! Have you ever had a sunroof? A REAL one that opens all the way? It is nothing short of amazing; Let the fresh air and wind flow through the car without the intense noise from having the windows down. This one has two settings. the first push of the button activates the tilt setting. lifting only the rear of the window up for the most aerodynamic and quiet setting. Push the button again and it automatically opens up all the way. Push and hold the close botton to move it toward closed. and let go of the button to leave it at any custom position you desire. There is also a sliding cloth panel that can block the window completely from the inside for those days that you don't even wanted tinted sunlight in your face. This car was owned by only non-smokers. and had very attentive drivers. My wife was only the 3rd owner and has had it for the last 4 years where it was only used a few times per week or not at all. We've gotten regular oil changes. the car has been cleaned regularly and it runs very well. The AC blasts arctic air streams and the heat can mildly roast a marshmallow. Note. one of the middle blower-motor settings does not work. but has not been any issue as the 3 other settings do. The 12V power output works fine to power electronics - The cigarette lighter itself is long gone. This Sunfire has so many curves you won't know what to do with them. The unique exterior and interior just shouts early 2000's style and asks to be caressed lovingly. And just look at that trunk! You can fit so much junk in that trunk it doesn't even make sense considering how small this car is. And of course there is a spare tire back there as well. 14" steel rims with plastic hubcaps means you never have to worry about these wheels being stolen. The side view mirrors are fold-able so they won't break off if they get hit. Also. there is no trunk release from the inside of the car! That means you NEED the key to get into the trunk. So even if some scumbag smashes your window they will be unable to access your precious valuables inside the trunk. This is a rare feature these days! The interior has a high-end polypropylene dash with cloth bucket seats. These are WAY better than leather. imitation or otherwise. These do not get cold in the winter or hot and sticky in the summer! They breathe wonderfully well and maintain temp so you don't get all sweaty and gross! The center console is perfect for resting elbows and storing all the stuff that will eventually find its way in there. It even folds out and reveals two cup-holders for the rear-seat passengers! There's an auxiliary removable cup holder inside the console as well. for a total of 5 cup-holders! Under the radio and climate control is a nice storage space for your phones. change. wallet or snacks. Of course there is always going to be some things wrong with a used car at this price. I believe in selling honestly. and will advise that the passenger seat linear forward-backward adjustment seems to be stuck in the middle position. This has not been any issue as there is ample room to enter and exit the backseat from the passenger side as well as plenty of leg room in the front for average-sized people. I'll be upfront. if you are someone that sometimes has to duck in stairwells or hallways this is probably not the car for you. There's also the typical small nicks. dings. scratches and mild sunspots around the exterior of the vehicle. but nothing overly obvious or unsightly. Some mild lower-body rust. as it is a Midwest car. Finally there is a small crack in the front bumper. left corner visible on the photos. I can only imagine this is where some hard-headed chipmunk meet it's high-speed end. The OEM radio has a digital receiver and display. meaning it displays the song that is playing over the radio AND displays the ACTUAL TIME. There is also a full-featured equalizer and a working CD player. and the sound system itself is far better than you would think. This car has many safety features to keep you alive; driver and passenger airbags. 4-wheel anti-lock ABS brakes. AND computer-controlled traction control for wet and icy roads! This has been a LIFESAVER driving this car in Wisconsin. There are also top tether anchors for child seats in the back. Fully functional rear-window defroster to keep a clear line of sight. and running lights that are always on when the car is in drive for maximum visibility on the road even if the driver forgets. Let's not forget about the pep this thing has! With a curb weight of only 2. 00 lbs and a straight four-cylinder 2. 2 L engine MADE HERE IN THE USA with a 4-speed AUTOMATIC transition with overdrive feature. delivering over 115 hp and resulting in an astonishingly economical 22 city / 32 hwy mpg. With a 14+ gallon tank. it's not hard to get over 400 miles off of one tank. This thing will whip around like you wouldn't believe and throw you to the back of your seat if you ask it. SPOILER ALERT! This car has an alien-craft shaped half-spoiler thing sticking out from between the rear windshield and trunk. Show everyone how fast your car must be by having a spoiler. Can you tell from the pictures how small this compact car is? You can practically split lanes with this thing and zip between all sorts of obstacles. and it's so low to the ground you can feel safe knowing it will not roll over. Exterior dimensions are 182" long. 68. 4" wide and 53" high. With an original MSRP of about $14. 00. this used price is a steal! Look up the reviews for the Sunfire- this thing will run to 300k miles AT LEAST like a champ. It's not even halfway through that and it's lasted 14 years with no issues! This will be the PERFECT starter car or commuter for anyone and will last as long as you need it. We bought this from a dealer. asking price was $5. 99 and we have all the paperwork proof of purchase. We are only getting rid of it as we are getting a new car.
