1978 Pontiac Trans Am-Up for sale is a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am--WS6--Starlight Black. Car was damaged by a tree during a wind storm in November. The car was beautiful before damage occurred. Car is mechanic owned and maintained for the past 13 yrs. The rear roof section is severely crushed down to the rear seats. Seats are not damaged and rest of interior is near perfect . Front seats were redone about 10 years ago. engine was rebuilt as well. and was never previously removed from vehicle. so I believe it is a numbers matching car. Black carpet and custom floor mats. Car was originally purchased here on Long island. I have all the paperwork. wners manual. rust proofing sheet. original window sticker. economy sheet. factory brochures as well as the build sheet. Have some receipts for maintenance from the previous owners. The engine is a true pontiac WS6 400 T/A 6. 6. not a 6. 6 liter. which is the lower output of those engines). nd usually with an automatic. The car has a factory four speed trans. and posi rear with factory 3. 42 gearing. Everything is factory with the exception of headers. and a flex fan. lectric choke and true dual exhaust with flowmasters. The car is very fast and fun to drive. an overall attention getter. nd handles great. Car was only repainted once in its entire life. The car has factory A/C . nd everything is in tact. I had converted it to 134 a couple of summers ago and it was working. The rest of the body is in good shape. Floors and trunk all good shape. It is a hardtop car. Original wheels all in excellent shape. All factory manifold. carb. drivetrain and engine as well. Gothic Trans Am decals. It is not missing anything. Still drives great. Doors still open and close fine and do not sag. Has some rust starting to bubble through here and there. but no major holes or rust outs. Car could probably be repaired. The only thing that will not be included with the car is the radio. Have NY state title that is currently clear. but car has been totalled by the insurance company.
