Bought a new car so selling our Pontiac Montana 2005 SV6. You are welcome to drive it away after purchase or have it shipped at your expense. We just got back from Florida vacation a few months ago and had no troubles.
The good:
3 newer tires (80% tread), th is about 40-50%
7 Seater, lean, aptain's chairs for 2nd row
V6, ood gas mileage
no accidents
title in hand
can haul 4x8 sheets (drywall, lywood, tc)
rear heat and AC
DVD player with two sets of headphones
Center storage (between captain's chairs)
Power driver seat (works)
power options (all work)
tune up done at 100,000 miles (2013: serpentine belt, lugs, ires, tc)
no leaks from engine or tranny
power sliding doors (both sides, oth work)
The bad:
130,000 miles
rear suspension makes a "clunk" noise when going over bumps. 2 mechanics have been unable to fix and we have been driving with that noise for three years now. We even replaced shocks in the rear but noise stayed.
front suspension springs have rusted at the connection plate under hood and makes a 'boing' noise when you turn the wheel at slow speeds. Mechanic says it is not a safety issue and recommended putting up with noise (cost to fix was high).
Tranny on a rare occassion will slip/slam when putting into drive and getting into first gear. If you feel it not engaging, let off of gas for a second, t engages and then it is fine. rare, ut thought I would mention it. been like that for over a year and keeps on driving. Otherwise, ranny shifts smooth.
