Description

Up for bidding is a 1965 Pontiac GTO convertible! This GTO is absolutely 100% all original. This is what you would call a real barn find. There were very few GTO's made like this one. This particular GTO has a 335 hp single four barrel carburetor and motor with automatic transmission on the column with bucket seats. The reason this car was ordered that way is because it was ordered for a doctor that worked at Philadelphia medical College. Rose Nicastro, rdered this car from Lou block Pontiac at 49th and Chestnut in Philadelphia for her husband Dr. Genaro Nicastro. She ordered the car this way so that he could put his medical bag between the seats as he made house calls and worked at the Philadelphia medical College. I have all the documentation for the car as well, ncluding the original protect-O-plate, he build sheet, he Pontiac historical society report, nd title. The title is clear and in my name.
I have had this car for over two years since rescuing it from a basement. The previous owner who passed away, tarted a restoration on the car. Certain situations came up in my life where I can no longer restore this car. However, am not giving it away. So here is what I've done to the car since I've had it. I'm not looking to make any money off of it. I pull the engine and transmission and sent them out for a professional rebuilt which I have receipts and build sheets for. I completely stripped the frame had it blasted and coated. I installed all new suspension parts including Springs, bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends etc. I replace the floor complete with the inner rockers and braces as well as the trunk pan floor, oth of them being complete units. So far, have strip the whole body, oors, runk lid, nd inner fender wells down to bare metal and re-primed. I also set the motor and transmission in the frame, nd had the exhaust manifolds blasted and coded as well, ven in the flapper valve in the right-hand manifold works as it should. I have the complete original interior with the exception of the carpet which is in good to excellent condition. I have the original top frame which will need a new top. I have every part that goes on the score, t just needs to be cleaned up and put back together. If you need assistance with putting this back together I have the original shop manual which Mrs. Nicastro purchased along with the car. You will need to arrange shipping or have a truck and trailer to get the core and all the parts. I have this car advertise locally as well, o I reserve the right to cancel or and this auction at any time. I prefer cash at time of sale, f you need to write a check, t must be a certified cashiers check I must clear my bank before I will release the car, ny of its parts and it's title. If you have any question about the cars validity, ptions, ny numbers that you may need please feel free to contact me. Please do your research, nd look at the values of an all original 1965 Pontiac GTO convertible, nd make your appropriate bid. You can also do your research on Dr. Genaro Nicastro of the Philadelphia medical college on line. All paperwork, ocumentation, anuals and anything else that I have goes with the car as a complete package deal, nd I will not separate any parts. Thank you for looking, nd bid with confidence, s this will be a great deal for someone. Especially a father and son restoration team!
