Up for bid is a Nordic Blue 1968 Pontiac Grand Prix BARN FIND with NO RESERVE! This Grand Prix still has its numbers matching engine and transmission with 76,xxx miles. In fact, he vehicle still has nearly everything it did when it was purchased in Asheville, C. The car comes with the original shipping record for the vehicle from Linden, J to Asheville, C. The shipping record states all the options the vehicle was manufactured with, hich includes air conditioning, ower brakes, nd power steering. The original warranty paperwork and owner’s manual are with the vehicle. Included in the paperwork is a title, everal registration receipts, hotographs of the vehicle from the 1990’s, nd receipts from parts and work performed. The engine is the original, umbers matching 400 CI with a factory four barrel carburetor. The engine has been rebuilt with a camshaft swap. The information on the cam swap is in an attached picture. During the engine rebuild, he original carburetor, lternator, nd starter were rebuilt. The vehicle drives and runs amazing. It will cruise on the highway at 80 mile per hour with no problems. The transmission shifts smooth and well with no jerking or skipping. This could be a daily driver. During the summer of 2015 the original air conditioning was checked for leaks. The leaks were repaired by changing the o-rings and the filter-drier. The air conditioning was charged with R-12 and works on the hottest days. The heat also works with no problems. The Boss 338 wheels pictured on the vehicle do not come with the vehicle unless a price is agreed upon separate from the purchase price. The wheels which come with the vehicle are the black Pontiac Motor Division (PMD) wheels. The wheels are pictured on the vehicle in one of the attached pictures. The vehicle was originally equipped with power drum brakes. During the rebuild of the vehicle the brakes were converted to disc brakes. The vehicle also was aligned with new tires installed. The rear wheel skirts are still with the vehicle and are in good condition. As with most vehicles, specially older vehicles, here are some areas which could be improved. The interior is in great shape for the age but the edge of the driver’s seat has a trim piece visible. None of the leather on the seat or seat back appears worn but the leather on the trim is worn showing the trim. You can see this in the picture from the driver side looking inside the vehicle. The carpet in the vehicle is in overall good condition but is beginning to fray up in some spots. Most of the fraying is in the rear floor and so minimal it would be difficult to see in the pictures. Another problem which may concern most people is the fact there is minimal rust on the vehicle. The rust is concentrated on the side of the rear wheel wells. It appeared during the all hibernation of the vehicle the dirt and moisture was trapped causing the rust. The floors are great and the trunk has surface rust but no structural rust. The top on the vehicle was originally a black vinyl top but was removed because it was damaged beyond repair. The top and glue was removed from the top of the vehicle. The top could be replaced with a vinyl top, ainted or left the way it is. All the trim for the vinyl top is still with the vehicle. The vehicle comes with several items which were either removed or replaced on the vehicle. The valve covers and breather were from a GTO and are not original but the originals come with the vehicle. The original drum brakes, ights, nd some other items come with the vehicle in the sale. This is a NO RESERVE auction and the highest bidder will receive this beautiful 1968 Grand Prix. I am trying to mention everything possible about this great car but I could have forgotten something someone might want to know. Feel free to ask any questions you might have. Thank you.
