Up for sale is my extremely rare 1992 base Firebird Convertible. I guarantee this car turns more heads than European models costing ten to twenty times as much. It is one of very few convertibles that look as good with the top up as with the top down. I bought this car on eBay in January 2001 and had it shipped to Florida from the original owner in Pennsylvania. He assured me he only drove the car in the summers. Here in Florida. I have only driven the car in the winters and stored it when away for the summer. My Firebird is all original and in strong original condition. It’s a driver. not a show car - though with some fairly minor work it could be a show car too. The car has not been detailed. I washed it and took the pictures. The interior is nearly like new. with the exception of a small crack (1 inch or so) in the top of the dash (see picture). Observe that the seats are NOT leather. leather seats in a convertible in Florida will burn you on a sunny warm day. The body is straight. there’s no indication of any bodywork and all the paint matches. The trunk lid could benefit from repainting (Florida sun) but is still presentable. There are the usual run of paint chips. etc. you’d expect in a 23 year old car. particularly in the fiberglass bow area (see pictures) and the wheels have some pock marks (see photos). There is one door ding in the right front fender but it is quite small and does not detract from the car’s appearance. There are small bubbles in the paint on the driver’s side mirror nacelle and the right side headlight cover. The rear window in the top is "partly cloudy" but still transparent. There is a tiny (less than 1 inch) nearly invisible superficial cut in the outer shell of the top The foregoing are the only flaws in the car’s appearance I can see. Mechanically. the car is good. Everything works. the 5 liter engine is smooth and does not consume oil. The transmission shifts properly and the A/C blows ice cold. The front brakes have just been redone. It has Pirelli P4 tires with around ½ the tread remaining. I have all of the service records since January. 2001 which will go with the car. The odometer shows under 18. 00 miles but this is not the actual mileage. The car had 41. 00 miles when I bought it and about 71. 00 when I had to replace the instrument cluster with a used one (less than 1. 00 miles ago). I think you can estimate it has around 72. 00 actual miles. I drive the car occasionally on nice days. so it may have a few more miles when sale is completed. Upon confirmation of purchase. I'll require a $500. non refundable deposit through paypal. The balance can be paid by cashier's check or personal check (shipment or pickup delayed pending collected funds). I will cooperate with loading the car for shipping.
