1979 Pontiac Trans Am 403 6.6 L Auto

1979 Pontiac Trans Am 403 6. 6 L. Running & Driving Project CarUp for auction is a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am Coupe. which is an excellent candidate for a full restoration. Clear Texas title. The car runs and drives. but will need some body work. a paint job and a new interior. It always starts up with no problem and sounds great. The brakes work but are a little soft. The car will need to be trailered as there is no current registration. This is a power window car. but the windows are not currently working. I believe the switch is bad or there is a loose connection somewhere. The windows were working fine. so the window motors should still be okay. There are some rust spots as shown in the pictures. this includes rust on the driver’s side rear quarter panel and on the passenger side rear quarter panel behind the passenger door. The passenger side rust can most likely be repaired with a metal patch. but the driver’s side rear quarter would most likely need to be replaced. The engine is an Oldsmobile 403 6. 6 L with an Edelbrock Performer Series (350 Olds) Intake Manifold. Brand new Edelbrock 1407 (750 CFM) carburetor. Accel distributor. Accel spark plug wires. and Accel HEI Super Coil. Dual exhaust with headers and F-tips. Refurbished Pontiac Rally II wheels with new chrome trim rings and brand new tires. Brand new battery. This was also originally an air conditioned car. but a previous owner removed the compressor and other air conditioner items under the hood. The air conditioner hoses and some other parts are included in a box located in the trunk (Note: the compressor is not included). The original lower air cleaner assembly is also included. but will not fit with the current carburetor setup. Note: the top of the original air cleaner assembly is currently mounted (as shown in pictures) on top of the air cleaner so the shaker can be used. Oldsmobile 403 6. 6L.
