1976 Trans Am - NUMBERS MATCHING 455 HO 4 SPEED

This is a numbers matching 1976 Trans Am with original 455 & 4 speed. The car is disassembled. as the pictures show. It was a father/son restoration project about 15 years ago and approximately 80% of the restoration work has been done and a few upgrades were made. The car is fitted with 3" exhaust to the rear & headers. The breaks have been converted to Baer caliper brakes on all 4 wheels and the front end lowered a bit. All original components are also included in the sale. The 4 speed has been gone through. as has the rear-end and they both seem to be in good condition. The interior is near new. with the exception of the standard tear on the driver seat wear the seat belt attaches. The engine was rebuilt by Rock & Roll engineering as part of the restore and had very few miles on it after the rebuild. It appears to have had issues during break in and the project sat under a tarp after that. until last year. Here's the motor specs after rebuild: 455. bored . 030. Edelbrock Aluminum Heads-87cc. Comp cam. roller tip rockers. Mallory Ignition. All the parts are in fair condition. The block appears to be in good shape. as do the pistons & rods. but they should still be checked out by whoever does the build. I have all the original paperwork and receipts for the many upgrades. All of the original and aftermarket are included in this auction. The vehicle hasn't been driven in 15 years. nbsp;but it is GREAT shape considering its age. If you are looking for a vintage restoration project. you'll be hard pressed to find a better starting point.
