1948 Pontiac Streamliner Very Nice Car

Nice 1948 Pontiac Streamliner, Straight 8 engine with 3 speed on the column ( 3 on the tree). One of the reasons I went with a Pontiac instead of Chevrolet of the era is that I wanted the big straight 8 cylinder engine (also I think a bit fancier car). I have had the car almost 5 years and we have enjoyed it very much. We have purchased a RV and have been spending our time camping so the Pontiac has not been getting used like it should.
Since I purchased it the car has had the following items done to it:

• New Radiator Core Seats Recovered (Kanter Auto)
• New headliner (Kanter Auto)
• New Carpeting (Kanter Auto)
• Car was Repainted
• Rebuilt Water Pump
• Pointless Ignition System (Pertronix)
• New Coil (Pertronix)
• Modern Stereo Installed Under Dash
• Valve Lash Set Front
• Fog Light Set New old Stock ( I wire these for front turn signals which are not available factory to my knowledge)
• Will Come with the books

The car also has-

• Good White Wall Tires
• All gauges work ( sometimes the speedometer and fuel gauge take about a mile to begin working, but I have checked it with a gps at 60mph and is quite accurate)
• Brakes work well ( I have never tried the parking brake)
• Car starts and runs well
• Body is solid
• Great Appearance ( Lots of Chrome)
• Factory Stainless Rock guards on rear fenders
• Front working vacuum wipers
• Deluxe Factory Radio ( Larger Chrome Grill)
• Sunvisor ( Another reason I bought this car)

We have had a ton of fun with this car going out to eat with other couples or taking it for a ride out to the lake. Always have gotten lots of complements. This is a nice car and I have no reserve on this auction; it will sell.
