I aquired this old original Pontiac Star Chief and saved it from the crusher knowing a Pontiac die hard might want it. I believe these are quit rare today and what is cool about this one is that it is complete and not beat up. not even a dent. Yes it shows it's age but appears to be original even the paint. The odometer shows 67 K but it sure could be 167K. I found. what I believe is the original build sheet with complete owners manual still in factory envelope. It was in garage on concrete but prob sat outside some time. It sat since plates expired in early 2000's There was funk growing on outside. I pressure washed the car and the trunk got wet. I looked for rust and the inside trunk lid has rust going thru where the latch is and along that plane. I seen a small hole in trunk floor and the wet crap is what got blown out of the seal track and ended up in the trunk. When I loaded it I looked underneath and the floors appeared to be solid. You can see the minimal outside rust. and there is surface rust only anywhere else I seen. I did not try to start and won't. I am sure the fuel system is bad. When I went to move it on wheel was locked up and they usually they break loose. Not this one. It was on the right front. I worked with it for 2 hours and finally cut center of drum out and knocked the brake shoes out. The right front tire was also rotted has well has the rim. I put the spare on it. The hub caps are bad also. The bumpers are straight or re-plate- able. I think there are 4 track tapes on seat. The trunk is blocked open to dry out the water I put there. The motor appears to be a 389 2-V motor from the code on the build sheet. It is what it is guys. I Own a high end restoration shop in Cookeville TN and know what to look for. I only tell what it is. Pictures do the talking. Will sell to anyone anywhere. Any questions or comments just email me through ebay. Ready to move it out to new owner. Clear title in hand from son of original owner. Car was bought new in NC. After I put this on eBay I did see the trunk rail holding the seal in place is rusted out on the right hand side. Just making everyone aware .
