Description

1966 Pontiac GTO Matching numbers. 390 Tri-power. 4 Speed. HardtopHi. I'll begin by saying I will tell you everything I know about this bar. The good the bad. and the ugly. OK. First. this is my neighbor and friend's son's car. My neighbor keeps it in his garage. His son is the second owner and is meticulous about it. It is absolutely stunning. The photos don't do it justice. I've had a lot of classics but this is one of the nicest I've seen. I'd buy it myself if I could! Is it a trailer queen? Probably not. Is it a nice daily driver? No. Its more than that. This car is straight as an arrow. This car is rarely taken out. Perhaps three times a year. It is gorgeous. It was professionally restored about 5 years ago. Its an excellent. quality restoration. All body panels. doors. hood. trunk line up perfectly. The paint is spectacular having had one repaint in the original red. This is no 20 footer. Not even a ten footer. Get up close and it glimmers! Sparkles! Yes it does. Its starts right up every time. Drives straight as an arrow. A little background. I met my friend Mr. ______ when I was bidding on a 2008 Mustang Bullitt. I lost the auction. But the winner never came through so he phoned me. Long story short. I bought the car (it belonged to his other son) and made a friend. Now this man is a long time. old timer. experienced car guy. When I saw this car under a cover in his garage. I could hardly believe it. The shine. the perfect interior (replaced with proper matching interior for this year. model. and make). He went on to show me cars from the 40's that he restored. Again. I was amazed. His took me to his basement and showed me the model wood cars that he makes from a block of wood. Perfectly scaled. Just look at them and tell me if this man knows cars! See http://www. lov2xlr8. no/scale/otto/otto. html. Back to the GTO. There really isn't much to say. The exterior and interior are near perfect. There is one ding on the front hood. And the chrome shines beautifully except for the top of the front headlights. They're good. I wouldn't have even noticed if Mr. _____ didn't point it out. I really can't think of anything else. I'm in the process of getting it PHS documented. I urge anyone that is serious to come see the car for yourself if you can. I know many will have questions. just email them. And please do so BEFORE bidding. If I don't know the answer. I'll find out. Serious buyers only please. No disappointments here. $1. 00 non-refundable deposit required 24 hours after auction ends. Full payment must be made within 7 days. Will gladly assist with shipping. Car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. This is a almost a 50 year old car. It is sold as is with no warranty. Thanks for looking. Oh. photos were taken with my iPhone 6 and were not retouched or anything (unlike many of the classic I see here).
