1969 Pontiac Firebird 400 6.6L 4 Speed Posi Documented PHS Ram Air Muncie

1969 Pontiac 400 Ram Air Engine 4 Speed You are bidding on a real 400 4 speed Firebird. I friend of mine owned this car for over 25 years. I am not as sharp on Pontiac Muscle as others so bear with me. I looked the car over and it appears overall very solid. No floor rust or patches. Trunk and rear shock towers are solid. Factory power disk brakes. The engine is a period correct 1969 400 Ram Air III but not original to this car. I found a XH code on the front engine pad. The engine starts right up. idles wells. no noise or smoke. and runs really strong for a 400 Pontiac. I cant seen the head casting numbers clear but they look like #48 Ram Air Heads. Like I said it is a strong runner. Only mods I see is it has headers and 2 ½ full dual exhaust. The carb is original Rochester and has # 7029263 on the side It has a 1969 Muncie M21 Transmission with code P9P18. The transmission shifts wells and the clutch does not slip The rear is the original Positraction 10 Bolt with the factory performance gear option. I think it is a 3:55 ratio This car has the optional Trans Am type power steering cooler This car has the original Protecto Plate /Warranty card and I have the PHS documentation showing this is a true 400 4 speed Firebird Overall it starts and runs smooth. It is not perfect or restored but a overall solid real 4 speed muscle car that runs really well. It would need some work here and there to be perfect. It is priced accordingly. I do not see any floor. trunk. or under body rust. Some bubbles on bottom of right front door and paint flaws hear and there. I Believe this car has been painted since the early 1990s. Tires are older (20 years) and should be replaced for distance driving. Local is ok. Brakes work fine It has a 60. 00 miles on the car and the title indicates the same actual miles.
