Downsizing and losing garage. so I am selling my 1973 Porsche 911T. Targa body. which I’ve owned for 24 years. The original owner of the 73 (a dentist. living nearby) owned it for at least 10 years before I purchased it; the supplied repair records suggest a careful owner. I replaced this car’s 1973 MFI engine with a completely rebuilt engine from my previous 1971 911T. which I purchased 30 years ago. The 1971 engine with Zenith carburetors is superior. in my opinion. as it is cooler running and longer lasting. due to being pre-emission control. Engine overhaul included: pistons. rod and main bearings. cam chains and chain rails. chain tensioners. intake and exhaust valves. clutch set. oil hoses. muffler. The engine was mated with the heavier 1973 915 transmission. The rebuilt engine has less than 15. 00 miles use. Last year. a cylinder leakage test measured 96% on cylinder 1 and 97% on the other five. Also last year. the Zenith carburetors were completely rebuilt. All 4 brake calipers and fluid hoses have been replaced. All work has been done by excellent Porsche-only mechanics. The wheels are original Fuchs. Tires are new. Twin acid batteries replaced with single jell battery. I am unaware of any significant mechanical problems. While I have owned the car. it has always been garaged. not driven in winter nor when there has been precipitation. It was not driven for 5 years while I was traveling. The car is currently registered in Virginia and always passes safety inspection. Payment: PayPal Deposit: $1000 on first day after sale.
