However. I have too many customer's cars and too many other projects to complete this one in the foreseeable future. I am letting it go to free up funds for other endeavours. It is a matching numbers car and the COA from Porsche NA is included. It is a beautifully optioned car with Meissen Blue paint. brown interior. black hard top. and chrome wheels. I have a paint sample from Wilhoit so that you can get a correct match on the paint. It is pictured below with the COA. I purchased it from the family of the second owner. It had not been registered or on the road since 1974. See pic of tag. They had retained a shop to restore the car in the mid-80s. The exterior was painted the silver shown in the first two pics. The took possesion of the car before it was reassembled. We began another restoration. The engine was disassembled and cleaning was begun. however no machining performed. The exterior was stripped down and lots of hammer and dolly work was done as well as some light filler and primer. The exterior panels are in excellent condition with no signs of accident damage. The car is as in the pictures on the rotisserie. It is almost completely disassembled. I will remount the suspension and wheels for transport and mount all the exterior panels. All the loose items are boxed and sorted. NUMBERSThe engine number matches the COA and all three case pieces are matching. The transmission number matches the COA. The VIN on the pan and on the VIN plate next to the gas tank match. VIN: 151129; Engine number: 71222; Transmission number:21986. ENGINEThe engine is complete and original. All three pieces case pieces are matching. The cylinder walls show very little wear. However. one cylinder got water in it and is severly pitted. No water entered the case. The camshaft. rods. and crankshaft look excellent. The engine has not been rebuilt. The bearings look good. but tired. I will include additional images of the engine components on my webpage at the link listed under "INTERIOR". TRANSMISSIONThe transmission is complete including shift linkage. clutch. and axle shafts. It is numbers matching to the COA. BODYThe body is very solid. I have new sheetmetal to replace the inner rockers. battery tray. floor pans. and seat mounts. There are areas that will need touch up and small patches manufactured. such as the center tunnel. The front and rear show no signs of patches are repair sections. The fenders are all solid. There is surface rust on the undercarriage. but nothing structural on the exterior panels. I have a paint sample from Wilhoit so that you can get the correct color on your paint. The hard top pictured in the back of the car in the first two pictures is the original one. We have purchased a replacement that is solid. It has a few small rust holes. However the original was rusted almost in two. The car had been stored under cover. but the top was left outside. BRAKESAll four aluminum brake drums look excellent and have no rust inside. The brake parts look great. There are images of two of the drum brake assemblies. Obviously you will need to go through the system. ELECTRICALThe entire wiring harness is present. All the gauges are there and in good shape. The tail light housings need restoration and lenses. The Becker amp is present. but the deck has been replaced. INTERIORThe interior is all there. but will need complete restoration. I can not add additional images here. So.
