This is a 1965 356 C model coupe and original black color. Car Was purchased by the current owner from the original owner in Lafayette California in 1987. This is the second time this individual has owned this lovely black Coupe. The owner no longer drives it and requires a newer car. She and her husband are Redwood region PCA members and they also autocross a 912. The battery front floor pan was replaced in 1988. The engine is a late version it has an electric tachometer. This is a numbers matching California car. The engine is a balanced motor that was built by Lukes & Shorman. The rebuild included big bore 9:1 compression ratio a mild cam and 40 mm Dellorto carburetors. Car only has 14. 00 miles since the work was done in 2000. No accidents car except for a small bump on the right rear in 1990. That is when they decided to have the whole car painted. This is still a show quality Black paint job on this 356 car. Recently Redline service had the little bit of paint corrosion at the front lip repaired. It turned out it was only in the primer and paint and it was not rust. The interior door panels and back panels are still original to the car has is the headliner. In 1995 the seats were redone by Auto's International of San Diego California. The seats are firm and are still in excellent shape. Everything about the way this car drives is awesome from the steering. brakes. and rebuilt transmission. Handling is enhanced with a Vic Skimat adjustable camber truss sway bar. Koni shocks front and rear on this car. Even the dome lights and rear backup light works unfortunately the clock stopped working. The guys at Redline service said this is one of the best handling fastest 356 cars they have ever driven or serviced.
