Exterior: Overall this is a striking 996TT. Polar Silver has a hint of blue to the color. and is much more attractive than the more common Arctic Silver. The paint is overall in excellent condition. recently clay barred. polished. and waxed. It has an excellent deep shine and is almost entirely swirl free. The front end is almost entirely free of rock chips. and the body is exceptionally straight without any door dings or dents. The unattractive standard orange side marker lights have been replaced with European smoked side markers (originals included) for an improved look. The wheels have been professionally refinished in Seal Gray. which makes for a great contrast. The factory front license plate holes are filled with Bumper Plugs for a smooth look. The overall package is quite striking. and gets a lot of compliments. Interior: Exceptionally clean and well taken care of inside. obviously well-loved. The carpets are very clean and free of stains. tears. burns. or damage. No odor or signs of smoking or pets. The front seats are in great condition with only light wear. still soft and supple. no tears. stains. or damage. Like most 911s. the back seats are like new. All of the dash and side panels are in great condition without any tears or major scratches or marks. Every feature works as it should: climate control. OBC. CDR23 radio. power mirrors. power windows. self-dimming rear view mirror. power locks. keyless entry. rear wiper. cruise control. vanity mirrors. cigarette lighter. and power seats. Mechanical: This is a 996TT for someone that wants to enjoy driving it. Exceptional mechanical condition. it’s cliché but I would drive it anywhere. The engine is strong. boosting to 1. 0 bar per the OBC with effortless levels of acceleration. Exactly what you would expect out of 415 HP and AWD. No leaks or smoking. no caution lights. no issues. The suspension is tight with a great ride/handling balance. no clunks or vibrations. Steering is tight without pulling or vibration. Brakes are powerful with a solid pedal. new pads and rotors up front. over 50% pads in the rear. and no vibration or grinding on braking. The shifter and transmission are positive and smooth. no popping out of gear or grinding. Clutch is strong without any slipping. nice and light with a low release point. There is no slack or clunking associated with the all-wheel drive system. it is transparent. Tires are N3 rated Michelin Pilot Sport with 9/32 front and 7/32 rear tread remaining (new is 10/32). The 60k service was just performed. which includes air filter. pollen filter. oil and filter change. fuel filter. serpentine belt. brake bleed. and spark plugs. In addition the front brake pads and rotors are new. wiper blades are new Bosch Icon front and rear. wheels were refinished. and the driver’s side seatbelt buckle was replaced. At this point it is a turn-key car that is up to date on book maintenance and needs nothing. no issues. Flaws: I firmly believe in full disclosure when selling cars. I am an enthusiast and have bought a number of cars online. I model my selling on my own experiences. I am also incredibly particular about cars. most of the noted flaws are not immediately obvious. On the outside there is a scrape on the front corner of the splitter. and it is indented near the center. This part takes a lot of abuse on the 996TT. and is easily replaced for a few hundred dollars. Two very small chips in the right front fender (approximately pen head size). a tiny ¼ inch vertical crack in the right rear taillight (very common). and a shallow 8 inch scratch on the right rear bumper that has been touched up. The car was in an accident 6/26/06 per the Carfax. and was partially repainted. The overall appearance is very nice. with no visible flaws. mismatch. or signs of paint contamination. Without thorough inspection and knowing what to look for. you would never know it has been painted in any way. I have a True Frame report completed by a 3rd party certifying that the repairs were cosmetic only. including frame measurements. Inside is very nice. with very light leather wear. two light scratches on the left side of the console that are hidden by the seat. light scratches on the ash tray insert. and light wear on the driver’s side door panel. The front floor mats show moderate wear. and there are no rear floor mats. Overall this is a fantastic car that I would rate as a very nice driver. Fitting because these are amazing cars to drive. it’s a pity that some are polished more often than driven. It is also rare. the sunroof delete is nearly impossible to find in USA market 996TTs.
