Description

Deciding to move on from my project. I started working on this car by updating the running gear first before moving on to the bodywork. The car has sat in this current state for about 5-years now. So I figure it’s time to move on. I’ve priced this to try and capitalize on the value of the new parts that are included with the sale. in order to make it appealing to someone either looking for a project to start; or already with their own project but looking for parts. New parts already on the car include: new wheel bearings. new rotors. new master cylinder. new turbo-tie-rods. and calipers that I rebuilt with components from PMB. The engine has been completely rebuilt and increased in size from the original 1. 7L to a 1911. The engine was completely disassembled and the case was hot-tanked and the crank and rods were polished and cleaned. The case was determined to be true and was rebuilt using standard sized bearings. The pistons and cylinders used are 96’s from AA. All other engine components were purchased either at the type4store. or aircooled. net. The heads on the engine were redone by Len Hoffman. and had the spark plug location moved to the 2. 0l spot. The head and engine were rebuilt using the 9500 supervalvetrain kit from the type4store. The only used parts in the engine are the case. crank and connecting rods. everything else is new. Including a type4store modified t1 oil pump. Additionally. included with the engine is an SVDA distributor w/petronix made by the aircooled. net. and a petronix coil. I’ve also got a full clutch kit. including pressure plate. and a lightened and resurfaced flywheel. that will be included. Oil pressure and CHT gauges and senders are included. Induction for the engine is provided by a set of dual 36 carbs which I rebuilt. The engine is missing a thermostat and the related flaps. Also. I bought the car without any of the heat system components. The headers on the car have had the heat exchanger portions removed. The car has the appropriate sideshift transmission. There has been body work undertaken on the car. with additional metal overlay welded onto the longs. and some hellhole work done. There wasn’t a ton of rust. and the repairs while not the prettiest are sound. The body includes fiberglass panels from AIR including front flares. side skirts. front spoiler. and full rear quarter panels. The driver’s side rear quarter panel has been installed. but the other parts haven’t. While it’s definitely a work a progress. it’s also had any potential problem areas exposed so there is nothing hidden. I’m available to answer any additional questions and provide additional pictures. Wheels and suspension are on the car. and it is capable of being rolled onto a trailer. Also. feel free to message me on here and I'll email you a link to a google drive folder that has over 100 pictures of the car and associated parts. Buyer to pick up car and all related parts. The drive train is currently out of the vehicle.
