Description

1972 Porsche 914-6 cylinder conversion. This is a "NO RESERVE" auction. nbsp;"HIGH BID" wins this ride! Vin # 4722913900. This yellow 914-6 started life out as a 1. 7 liter 4 cylinder car. The conversion was a complete swap-over from a 1973 911T. The motor is a 6 cylinder 2. 4 liter Porsche engine with 6 DEUTSCHE VERGASER GMBH CO KG carbs. The engine is mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. The car has MSD ignition. It has Porsche 911 style coil-over rear suspension and Bilstein struts on the front. The brakes (front & rear) are all from a Porsche 911. The car has 5 FUCH wheels that are matched and wearing Dunlop SP SPORT-9000 205/50/15" tires (tread is almost new). The mileage on the car is 39424. (Not sure if this is original or has rolled over. ) The upholstery is in great shape with no rips or tears. The carpet is in great condition too (has coco mats). This 914 has a MOMO steering wheel. The front and rear trunks are rust free and in great condition (both front & rear trunks have carpet kits). The paint is a base/clear coat and is in great condition (yellow). The longitudinal supports are in great condition and the under-pan has no rust. The headlights and pop-up motors work along with the side-marker lights. running and brake lights. The engine serial number is 6134234. This is from a 1973 911T 2. 4 liter carbureted car. The compression on each cylinder is 150+ psi. The leak down on each cylinder is less than 5%. The motor appears to have been recently rebuilt. All of the engine oil-return tubes. nuts and bolts appear new. The car has no oil leaks. The motor turns over and spits and sputters but will not stay running. This car has sat since 10-31-2007. I'm sure the carbs and gas tank are fouled from the ethanol fuel. This car is going to sell for a lot less than it cost to build. The car is missing its radio and does not have heat exchangers. This is a no reserve auction. High bid wins this ride! If you have any questions please feel free to contact me and please only bid if you have the funds to pay for this car. I have added 24 pictures for you to study. You can clearly see the quality of build. time. money and care that was taken in the conversion of this clean little 914-6. Bid early and bid often! Thanks.
