THE OVERVIEWOffered for an appreciating new owner is this classic 1983 Porsche 944 5 speed coupe! LOW RESERVE!Finished in blue metallic over black. this thirty two year-old FIRST-YEAR 944 sports a great running 2. 5 liter inline four cylinder engine mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. The WORKING five-digit odometer shows 94. 00 miles but I cannot 100% verify the actual miles. It features 17" Porsche factory turbo twist wheels. electric windows. large removable sunroof panel. cd stereo and more. It is being sold with clear and clean California title. This classic 944 is being offered here at no reserve and will surely be a great value for less than the cost of the sales tax alone on a new base model Boxster!PLEASE CALL 650-307-2251 FOR QUESTIONS. nbsp;TEST DRIVES AND/OR MECHANICAL INSPECTIONS. THE BODY AND TRIMThe exterior of this 1993 Porsche is in good/decent 99. 9% rust-free condition with good shine to the paint finish. Imperfections on the outside of this car include small dent on the rear bumper. crack on the windshield. one cracked fog light. stuck rear hatch and stuck gas cap along with some light curb rash on one or more of the alloy wheels and various minor scratches. nicks and other light blemishes. This is still a very handsome low-priced classic! THE INTERIORThe interior of this Porsche is in decent but not superb condition overall. The horn. lights. blinkers odometer. speedometer and other gauges are in good working order as are the electric windows and stereo. The lights are stuck in the up position. there is wear and splitting on the front seats which do not fold forward for rear seat access. heat cracking on the dash under the cover. a/c not blowing cold and some tattering of the interior panels and center console. The rear hatch will not open with the key and I have not removed the sunroof panel which has some broken plastic tabs/locks. THE DRIVING EXPERIENCEThis 1983 Porsche has new battery. starts up easily and runs very well and smooth with willingness to rev to the redline through the gears. The transmission shifts well free of any grinding and could benefit from new bushings for more precise feel. The braking is strong and straight. the suspension is fairly tight with good steering feel and quiet exhaust. This is a still quite fun. balanced and satisfying car to drive! THE DETAILS AND $$$$$1.
